What a shame you didn’t get to see the Northern Lights! After speaking to others, I think it is a hotel that many reach in darkness so I don’t think we are alone in that either and I am glad that you enjoyed it as much as we did. The food was amazing – in fact, across Iceland we didn’t have a bad meal! 🙂

Iceland is a lovely destination and this hotel was a great find, remote but set within beautiful landscapes. Well worth the hour-long trip from the Capital. 🙂

I stayed here in February for one night. Excellent hotel and I had the best lamb ever in the restaurant.
Spent time in the hot tub but sadly didn’t see the Northern Lights – way too cloudy. Love your photos – we didn’t see it in daylight as we arrived and left in the dark!

I have seen the Northern Lights once before, on a rare occasion where they were visible from the Toronto area! They are amazing, spectacular and I would love to see them again. Iceland is one of my dream destinations and I would love to travel here. This hotel looks so awesome! I would love to stay here.
